HELLO MOMOKIES!!!

Do you love dancing? I use to dance really a lot in my Secondary School days, 3 days of practice every week. After school till evening time, sweat and smelly like rubbish chute or worse!! Like smelly only!!  LoL but feeling is damn awesome! Like smelly only!!

I even attend my summer dance course in SINGAPORE DANCE THEATER for 2 weeks? From morning till evening. Ballet, contemporary, hip hop, modern etc. That was the most happiest time in my secondary school days! How I wish I can keep dancing. I also have a nickname during my hip hop years, MANTOU!! LoL (because that time my face was so chubby I look like one 小馒头。)

NOW YOU CAN DANCE EVEN DANCE ACROSS ASIA WITH GATSBY!!

Gatsby have always been organizing dance competition and this year is their 4th year!! NOW they are back again SEARCHING FOR ASIA BEST STUDENT DANCER. (so you must be a student) and get to go to JAPAN, TOKYO for finals on the 10.03.2012. All expense paid trip.

This year they even invite 2 famous dancer from Japan as judge. Charisma Kantaro and Fishboy. (if you guys are into dancing I am sure you know who are they?) ^^

26 November 2011 - 16 January 2012 

Contest application opens to all Student (1 - 3 in a group )  

4 February 2012 

All participant will be screened by judges in their preliminary round held at O-School dance studio and 8 groups will get into Singapore Finals! 

 18 February 2012 

GATSBY dance competition will be held and. 1 winning team will fly to Tokyo, Japan with all expenses sponsored. 

10 March 2012 (How I wish I could be there too) 

GATSBY DANCE COMPETITION ASIA GRAND FINAL IN TOKYO, JAPAN!!!! Where 8 countries compete and 1 Country winner will be crown ASIA BEST STUDENT DANCER and walked away with $8,000 CASH and many other awesome prizes!!! :D 

So what are you guys waiting for?!!!!! Gear up and start dancing!!! 

Let me give you some tips on their judging. 

First is you/your team dance technique remember to let your creative juice runs like maybe you can mix lion dance to popping?! (wow!! I think I very creative lolol). 

Music!! I remember we use to mix different music together and it was really awesome. Like a music with storyline. Fast fast slow slow fast fast fast slow~ that kind?! You know what I mean? Give the judge a WOW in the face O_O then you got high chance to win. ^^ 

Of course no copy of dance move or what so ever from youtube, maybe a little but not all.You can watch movie to get inspiration! Really, I got all my choreography from movies. You can watch kungfu movies whatever that inspire is good. Originality and Creativity.  

If you are in a group , coordination and 默契 is very important. You must blend in together with your team mates and not to outshine them. <-- (this is very hard to master because I always outshine lolol No la... I just want to hao lian only. haha) So if you are doing a SOLO please go ahead and show what you have got ! Because there is no one backing you up, no team mates no props no backdrop! Only you yourself and the stage so imagine yourself like Elva Hisao, Jolin Tsai or Show lou !! DO IT OR DIE THAT KIND!!! Gambatteh!!! 

Last is your presentation like your makeup, hair, accessories and costumes is very important, For example if your are acting a RICH but dress like Beggar? No body will get convince that you are acting a rich. Understand? 

That was the young me !! Okay la~ not very young think got 20?
